This is a family favorite that we make all the time. Pair it with some cheesy zucchini bake or broccoli slaw to make a meal that everyone will be asking for all time.
You don’t have to add cayenne if you are serving it to kids. That might be too spicy. You can adjust all these seasonings to your own tastes. You can use mustard for dipping or any other low-carb dip you have on hand.
Using the air fryer gets it done with a nice crust in no time.
AIR FRYER CHICKEN TENDERS
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breasts or tenders
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ¼ cup cilantro or parsley as desired
- salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon cayenne
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
For Finishing
- 1 tablespoon of oil or ghee as desired
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Using a large mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients on the list aside from the finishing ingredients then mix properly to combine.
- Let the chicken marinate for about twenty-five minutes then preheat the air fryer 350 degrees F for about five minutes.
- Next, add in the marinated chicken tenderloin, make sure they are in a single layer, brush the chicken with the blasting oil or ghee and cook for about ten minutes.
- Next, flip over, add more oil and cook for an additional five minutes. Make sure an inserted thermometer reads 165 degrees F.
- Once cooked, take the chicken out of the air fryer, place on a serving plate alongside with the lemon juice then mix properly to combine.
- Serve the chicken with cilantro and enjoy.
